AICN posted a photo from Fox
Studios in Australia. It shows what

is a model of a ship. But it's too
early to tell! What do you think
it is? Whatever it is, we are glad

Australia Team needs extras! [FACT]
Sat, May 13, 2000

This is news from down under. A news
site in Australia has reported that the
casting call for extras in Episode II are
underway. Here is an idea of how
many extras they need quoted
from SMH.com.au:

So how many Australian actors will
they need? "It's hard to say right
now until I get a final script," he
says. "But we're certainly talking
about 25 [or] 30. But you just
don't know how large the
speaking parts are yet."

The production could also use
about 1,000 extras during its
10-week shoot in Sydney.

Associated Press picks up Anakin Story [FACT]
Thu, May 11, 2000

This is what we found on the
Associated Press about Hayden
playing the role of Anakin
Skywalker! Quoted in its
entirety!

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A little-known
Canadian actor appears to have the
inside track for the plum role of Anakin
Skywalker in the next two ``Star Wars''
movies.

Hayden Christensen was among four
actors who did screen tests this month
opposite ``Phantom Menace'' co-star
Natalie Portman, and the actor is
awaiting an announcement from
George Lucas that he landed the
part, Diana Larkin, one of Christensen's
managers, said Thursday.

The trade magazine Variety and other
news outlets reported that Christensen
had the part, but Larkin said LucasFilms
had asked the actor's managers not to
confirm the deal until Lucas'
announcement, expected within
a few days.

``His name's out there, so it's pretty
much public record, but we have to
wait for the official word,'' Larkin said.

LucasFilms spokeswoman Jeanne
Cole said the company had no comment
on the role of Anakin, the character that
grows up to be the villain Darth Vader
from the original ``Star Wars'' trilogy.
Jake Lloyd played Anakin as a boy in
last year's ``Star Wars: Episode I -
The Phantom Menace.''

Christensen, 19, is a regular in the Fox
series ``Higher Ground'' and appeared
in the movie ``The Virgin Suicides''

The next ``Star Wars'' episode begins
shooting in June in Australia.

Latest Info from Star Wars Insider Magazine [FACT]
Wed, May 10, 2000

News from the latest Star Wars
Insider Magazine! Rick McCallum
and Production Designer Gavin Bocquet
gave us this quick update on Episode II:

SWI: ONE CHARACTER THAT FANS ARE
VERY EAGER TO SEE RETURN IN THE NEXT
FILM IS BOBA FETT.  HAVE YOU DESIGNED
FETT'S NEW LOOK YET?

Bocquet: Yes. Most of the character
designs and costumes have evolved
from Doug's group, and the concept
group, but we're already moving into
looking at Boba Fett's ship and slight
derivations of that, as well as Fett's
apartment, and other environments
that Fett exists in. It's very interesting
going back to a character that is such
a favorite. I think people will know
a lot more about Boba Fett after this
film.

SWI: WILL THERE BE ANY NEW MAJOR
CHARACTERS THAT WILL BE COMPLETELY
CG, LIKE JAR-JAR WAS?

McCallum: Yes, there will be

SWI: WOULD YOU SAY EPISODE II HAS
A DARKER MOOD TO IT?

McCallum: Yes, it does-because, although
we are not in a downward spiral yet, we
are certainly headed toward it. One of
the great things about Episode II and
III is that we know what Anakin was
like as a little boy. We also know what
he becomes by Episode IV. Episodes
II and III explore how and why he
becomes Darth Vader.

SWI: HOW MANY NEW PLANETS WILL
WE BE VISITING IN THE NEXT FILM?

McCallum: More than one and less than 20!

SWI: WHICH COUNRTIES HAVE BEEN
LOCKED IN FOR LOCATION SHOOTING?

McCallum: Italy, Tunisa, Spain and possibly Portugal.

SWI: ARE THE SETS FOR EPISODE II THE
SAME SCALE AS THE LAST FILM?

McCallum: I would say the same scale.

Bail Organa / Kitster Cast???[RUMOR]
Tue, May 9, 2000

A AICN source says that Ryan Phillipe
will be Bail Organa and Colin Hanks will
be Kitster. The source states that, "Turns
out that Lucas was using the Anakin casting
call as the big ol recruitment call for all his
young men of Episode Two."

Letter About Hayden [FACT]
Sun, May 7, 2000

In recent news a co-star of Hayden's wrote
the writer of Higher Ground. We have located
that email! Here it is in it's entirety.

From: Anne Marie
To: Michael Braverman
Sent: Thursday, May 04, 2000 4:33 PM
Subject: Hayden

I'm sure you've heard already, but in case you
haven't - Hayden got Star Wars!!!!!

Yup, two picture deal as Anakin Skywalker!!!!
Merchandising deal, etc. Wahooooo!! And the way
George Lucas first became aware of Hayden was by
way of the pilot episode of HG, which his
agent/manager sent to Lucas to screen....which, of
course, you wrote!!!! So there's another huge claim
to fame for you!!! Congrats!!

Anyway, I guess the Lucas camp is trying to keep
the announcement under wraps until Monday - they
want to do a big spread in Time Magazine!! Can you
imagine?? We all went out last night to celebrate
and needless to say Hayden is thrilled, in shock, etc
